Science bus cause a stir at the Big Bang

Big Bang 2Brighton and Hove Buses caused a stir with our science bus at the Big Bang Fair South East science event at the South of England Showground recently

Brighton & Hove Buses’ Lisa Kearney said the bus was a real hit with the children, who were given science-related activities and quizzes to do, based on information contained on the bus.

Lisa said: “It was a really great day. At one point the bus was brimming with kids and it was nice seeing them all so excited. Even when we ran out of prizes the students were still doing it. We’ve been asked to come back again next year.

While the emphasis at Big Bang is on bringing science to life and interactive learning, there’s also a serious underlying message about promoting STEM careers. Children also get to meet scientists, engineers and apprentices, including our own apprentice engineer, Chloe Haines.
