Metrobus’ ‘Get a Lift with Us’ campaign has been appearing on the backs of buses, social media, print and radio and at bus stops since November, focusing particularly on encouraging occasional bus users to become regulars and geared more towards leisure travel than commuting. We are currently conducting a survey of 200 people in Crawley town centre to assess awareness of our marketing campaign and its impact. Results should be known by the end of January 2019.
Other offers include kids 15 and under travel free at the weekend (provided they’re accompanied by an adult) from December 1 to December 23 and we’re trialling our Quattro Group M-ticket in Crawley this December, where up to four people can travel for £5 for 60 minutes in the Crawley Metrorider zone: a great alternative to catching a taxi during the festive season.
Metrobus’ Fastway 10 service will run on Christmas Day, so that Gatwick staff and travellers can get to the airport for Christmas Day flights. Eight routes will run on Boxing Day, a mixture of special timetables and Sunday timetables. We’re also operating a Sunday service on New year’s Day.
Full details are on the Metrobus website.
Metrobus has achieved international accreditation for energy management, ISO 50001, no mean feat. The standard shines a spotlight on the amount of energy we use, how we use it and outlines improvement plans demonstrating how we’ll continue to reduce energy consumption.
